MedinGel™, MedinCare™ and MedinHub™ are parenteral delivery systems with strong patent protection that can successfully deliver therapeutic levels of a wide spectrum of drugs for a period stretching from few days to months with a single injection.
MedinCell technologies are the result of 20 years of research conducted in Michel Vert’s laboratory at the Artificial Biopolymers Research Centre (CRBA - France). The technologies are being developed to provide the next generation of drug delivery platforms.
The MedinGel™ Delivery System is fully adapted to deliver peptides and proteins. It is composed of a co-polymer, which in contact with water forms soft hydrogels. These hydrogels are constituted of a mono-dispersed tri-dimensional network of hydrophilic chains (PEG) linked with hydrophobic micro-domains (PLA). The hydrophilic chain network can entrap hydrophilic macromolecules. The hydrophobic micro-domains inside the gel are able to solubilise and retain hydrophobic substances. The MedinGel™ is compatible with a great number of sensitive peptides and proteins, and provides quality releases with low or high burst effects, depending on your needs.
The MedinCare™ Delivery System is fully adapted to deliver hydrophilic or hydrophobic small molecules. It is composed of various biopolymers, which do not modify active’s structures, and that are registered as GRAS. The MedinCare™ is our new generation of Drug Delivery Systems which can be customized with various other technologies (MicroTrap™ and NanoTrap™) to design quality release profiles.
The MedinHub™ is an unique Drug Delivery System at the state of the art. It has been designed to deliver two or more compounds at a defined time and entrapped in the same formulation. Various release kinetics can be designed for each compound entrapped into the MedinHub™. This system, also based on resorbable biopolymers, has been launched by MedinCell in April 2007.
MicroTrap™ and NanoTrap™ technologies are some supports to customize our formulations and meet your product specifications’ needs. Our release kinetics (burst and long term releases) are controlled with these two products.
