Junior Drug Product Development Technician

We are looking for a Junior DPDE Technician with pharmaceutical and/or research laboratory experience to join our Montpellier, France facility to participate in our on-going success as a financially sound, fast-growing, socially responsible company dedicated to Global Health.

As a Junior DPDE Technician, you will provide technical support to a laboratory team in the preparation of numerous experiments, including solubility, in-vitro release, compatibility, stability and PK studies.  In addition, you will support the lab generally to ensure that necessary supplies are available for experiments.

Responsibilities 

Technical Support

  • Obtain approved work documents, including SOPs, study plans, experiment plans, protocols etc.
  • Complete logistical preparations for experiments, including preparing solutions, formulations, reagents, apparatus, accessories and other supplies needed for experiments as described in approved work documents
  • Set up chromatography equipment, including eluent preparation, column installation, system priming, etc.
  • Conduct experiments following the work documents and applicable scientific procedure
  • Record all test results and ensure the careful and complete documentation of activities and results in the lab notebook
  • Carefully observe results during experiments and report any issues to the team
  • Compile data from experiments
  • Participate collaboratively with all team members in the achievement of project goals and deadlines
  • Work according to GLP standards and ensure quality standards are always maintained

Overall lab support

  • Prepare buffers and eluents
  • Obtain and make available materials and supplies from stockroom
  • Maintain inventory levels and appropriately organize and label all supplies
  • Wash laboratory glassware

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 years of experience as a technician in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Experience in in-vitro studies

Technical knowledge, skills and abilities

  • Ability to organize work effectively and efficiently
  • Ability to initiate in-vitro release experiments
  • Knowledge of health standards
  • Adherence to safety standards
  • Ability to conduct measurements
  • Ability to write scientific reports
  • Good knowledge of laboratory equipment and materials
